South Korea

This page was created to help friends enjoy exploring South Korea on their own. These tips are solely based on author’s personal experience.

Travel essentials packing checklist for South Korea:

1) Electric voltage.

South Korea’s electric voltage is 220V. The outlet has 2 round holes.

2) T-Money

T-Money card is like a debit card used for subways, buses, cabs, airport limo, and convenience stores. Recharging can be done via automatic subway recharging machines and convenience stores. 50,000 KRW should be good enough to “recharge” for 5 days length of stay (if you are on a tight budget and are planning to limit taking cabs). The key is to tap the T-money card when you get on and off the bus or subway. (photo courtesy of seoulistic.com)

3) Download Jihachul app onto your phone

4) Activate International Roaming.

5) Show this to your cab driver (Directions to Kimchee for Cab Drivers)

If you are on Cebu Pacific flight, your arrival at Incheon would be at 8:05PM. By the time you’re through with immigration, you are most likely to get on the limo bus from Incheon to Seoul by 9:30PM. Travel time is roughly 1 hour and 10 minutes, without traffic.

1) Take Airport Bus 6002. Purchase your airport limo bus ticket near Gate 5B or 12A. The cost is KRW 10,000 per person. Your final destination would be Dongdaemun Market Bus Stop. In Dongdaemun, you will see Gwangjang Market to your right). Get off at the next stop after you see Gwangjang Market (the station is Jongno 6-ga, or you will hear the announcement “JONGNO YUK-GA” made on board at your stop).

God’s Love Bridges The Distance

Date: October 18, 2012
Editor: Novy Ann Ibasco
For Joan & Clarence, Love knows no distance when God bridges the miles. For them, being away from each other is not too far and the wait is not too long because their love for each other through the years, along with the grace of God, secures them.

Happy 3rd year anniversary! May God bless bless you with more happy years growing together in God’s Love.
